About Finn

Finn is a beautiful cream male chow chow (he is registered CKC). He turns 4 on Nov 27th. He is on the larger side and is very active. He has been around 2 other dogs and 3 cats since he was a puppy and does fine. I am unsure how he would do going into someone else's home with another dog so best to be a dog free home as he is on the dominate side. He recieved his full round of puppy vaccinations, he did have a reaction to one of the vaccines we never figured out which one so he has only had his rabies in the past 3 yrs which he is currently due for. He does not do well in vehicles, he gets very anxious. He has a quirk that can be serious, he will sometimes growl if you speak to him in a high voice or try to hype him up. It is like he gets overstimulated by high energy or over talking. You need to go slow with him and give him time and space. He loves loves LOVES to play fetch. He is very athletic and fast! He needs daily walks and daily ball throwing sessions (weather permitted) His need for lots of activity is one of the reasons I am rehoming. I can no longer keep up with his activity demands. I feel he needs to go to somebody who can play with him frequently and give him the exercise he needs. He does have thet typical chow personality where he doesn't do well with small high energy children. Adults or older children are fine. The best way to bond with hom is through a game of fetch. He never turns that down. He is overall a happy go lucky dog who just needs lots of exercise and space to run. A yard with a fence, a good sturdy fence is a must as he can be an escape artist and he is FAST! Please be educated on chow chows and their quirks. While he is atypical in ways (hyper, playful) he.does have the aloofness and needs someone who is familiar with the breed and can handle it
