About Lucy

Lucy is a three year old Doberman mix (One parent was pure bred). I adopted her three years ago, but now need to find her a new home. Lucy's Doberman background makes her fiercely loyal, protective and very high energy. She is a very loving dog with her people, but takes time to adjust to strangers especially in her own home. We have a busy household, and this behavior has become an issue for us. Lucy would be great with an owner with experience managing this Doberman-like behavior. She is also a very busy and vigilant dog that is at her best when she has a job to do. If you need a working dog that you can provide structure and support for her to learn, she would be a great fit for you. Lucy is also very food motivated and as such can be easily trained and learns quickly. Her favorite place in the world is the off leash dog park where she can run, play and socialize with other dogs and people. She also loves to snuggle with her people after a long exercise session.
