Annie Oakley - This Little Outlaw Knows What She Wants Annie Oakley is a beautiful tortie kitten with a big personality, strong opinions, and the confidence to make her own rules. In other words'| she's a tortie. Tortoiseshell cats are famous among cat lovers for what is affectionately called 'tortitude.' They're often described as smart, independent, spirited, and fiercely loyal to the people they choose. Annie Oakley certainly knows who she likes-and she isn't afraid to be selective about her feline friends. This little girl has already had quite a journey. Annie started life as a street kitten before boarding a plane and flying all the way to New Hampshire to find her forever home. She was adopted, but unfortunately, the home wasn't the right match for her. With small children, dogs, and lots of activity, Annie became overwhelmed and began urinating in houseplants instead of consistently using her litter box. We believe Annie was communicating the only way she knew how: her environment was too stressful for her. Annie is looking for a very different kind of home this time-a peaceful, predictable household where she can feel safe, build confidence, and be the center of someone's world. She may do well with one carefully selected, cat-friendly companion, but she could also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only feline queen. If Annie joins a home with another cat, her adopter must be committed to a true slow introduction following Jackson Galaxy's introduction process. Annie cannot be placed into a room with another cat and expected to 'work it out.' She needs separate spaces, scent swapping, positive associations, patience, and time. Annie Oakley may be named after a legendary sharpshooter, but this little tortie isn't looking for the Wild West anymore. She has already survived the streets, flown across the country, and learned that not every home is the right home. Now she's looking for her person. Someone patient. Someone calm. Someone who understands that the best relationships aren't rushed-and that earning the trust and love of a selective little tortie can be one of the most rewarding experiences in the world. Annie doesn't need a busy household full of excitement. She wants to be the main event.
