About Thomas

Thomas is a beautiful senior Persian with the sweetest soul and the softest fur. His life hasn't been easy, but he has never given up. This brave boy was hit by a car and miraculously survived. While recovering, veterinarians also discovered a mass in his mouth that required surgery, and like the fighter he is, Thomas pulled through. But now, Thomas was recently has been diagnosed with liver cancer. Unfortunately, there are no curative treatment options available. At this stage, the goal is to maintain his comfort and quality of life for as long as possible. The good news is that he is currently doing very well. He shows no clinical signs of illness, enjoys an excellent quality of life, and behaves just like any other happy, normal cat. Currently, the only thing he receives is a daily liver supplement. As the disease progresses, whether that is in the near future or much further down the road, he will eventually require supportive care to keep him comfortable. This may include pain medication and other comfort-focused treatments recommended by a veterinarian. When his quality of life can no longer be maintained, the kindest gift will be to let him go peacefully and with dignity. He is a beautiful, loving cat who deserves a home where he can spend the rest of his life surrounded by love, comfort, and compassion.
