Meet Lumi Breed: Australian Kelpie / Carolina Dog Mix** Dob: 2/15/2026 Current Weight: 24 pounds Lumi's story began with uncertainty. As a tiny puppy, he was found wandering the streets completely alone, searching for food, safety, and someone to care for him. No family came looking for him, and no puppy should ever have to face the world by themselves. Thankfully, he was rescued before life on the streets could take away his bright spirit. From the moment Lumi arrived at our rescue, it was obvious that he had something special. Instead of being fearful or withdrawn, he greeted everyone with a wagging tail, curious eyes, and an eagerness to make friends. Somehow, despite his difficult start, Lumi chose joy. Every day he reminds us that dogs have an incredible ability to forgive and love. Today, Lumi is a healthy, happy puppy who is full of life. He absolutely loves people and enjoys playing with other dogs. His favorite game is fetch, and if you throw a ball, you've instantly become his best friend! He'll happily chase it over and over again, proudly bringing it back each time with a huge puppy grin. When playtime is over, you'll often find Lumi splashing around in the water. Whether it's a kiddie pool, a lake, the sprinkler, or even bath time, this boy thinks getting wet is part of the adventure. His playful personality is contagious, and it's nearly impossible not to smile when you watch him having fun. Lumi is also incredibly affectionate. After a busy day of exploring and playing, he loves curling up beside his people for attention and cuddles. He enjoys being included in family activities and wants nothing more than to be someone's loyal companion.
