Rocky came to us as a stray found roaming the streets of Phoenix, Arizona, and is currently being fostered through Big Hearts For Big Breeds Rescue. He is estimated to be under two years old. Rocky enjoys being part of the family inside the home but also appreciates having the freedom to go outside when he'd like. He is fully potty trained and knows how to use a doggy door. When he was found, Rocky was extremely underweight, so we're helping him regain a healthy weight. Once he is healthy enough, Big Hearts For Big Breeds Rescue will have him neutered before he is adopted. Rocky does very well with other dogs. He is currently living with his foster family and two other male dogs, and they have all gotten along well with no issues. While he may be a little timid when first meeting new dogs, he warms up quickly and has been friendly with every dog he's met. He also does well with children and has a gentle, easygoing temperament. He has been making great progress on leash walks and continues to build confidence each day. He can still be a little cautious when passing other dogs or people on bikes, but he responds well with reassurance. Like a true Great Pyrenees, Rocky pays close attention to his surroundings and will alert you when he notices something outside. Rocky is a gentle, loving boy who is ready to find a family that will give him the safe and happy life he deserves.
