About Moose Morrill

Please spread the word. Looking for a new home! Moose is an incredibly sweet and loyal friend. He's very energetic and very trainable, he loves to make his handler happy. Moose thrives with a very small, tight-knit family unit. However, with the right introduction in a neutral environment, he's been able to make new friends with other dogs and people. If you want/need a furry friend to watch over and protect your house, he is perfect for this, one of his biggest drives is to protect. He is territorial when he's home. Even while chilling with you, he'll lay with his head toward a door or window to see what's happening around the house. Home is often where he is not good with any new people or new animals and requires a lot of special attention to introduce to anyone new near his home. In terms of training, Moose has very good door etiquette and is proficient with several commands: 'down' (meaning *lay*), 'sit', 'shake', 'place', 'wait', 'come', 'drop it', 'fetch', 'bring it', 'drop it', 'let me have it' (meaning *place toy in your hand*). So why does Moose need a new home? Several major changes have taken place in his household over the last year and his parents have constantly had their attention divided to deal with new stressors. Moose is high-drive and all this change and split-attention at home culminated in a bad reactive episode with someone, and now his mom and dad are very anxious about their ability to deal with him going forward.
