About Rosie

Meet Rosie, a sweet 3 year old, 8 pound Yorkie Mix girl being fostered in Leander, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered ALL COMMITTED INTERESTED PARTIES MUST COMPLETE AN APPLICATION AT WWW.UYR.US ,SO THAT WE CAN CONTACT YOU AND DISCUSS YOUR INTEREST AND THE NEEDS FOR THIS BABY. Rosie is estimated to be 3 years old and weighs 8lbs. She came to UYR with a partner (Pepper) from a local shelter. The two were found wondering together by a busy intersection and luckily a kind passerby intervened and got them to the shelter where we were requested to bring them in to UYR. Rosie was severely matted and underweight when she got to her fosters home. We got her to the vet for her bloodwork and vaccinations the next day and then had to schedule a sedated grooming to remove all of her mats. She is feeling a little self-conscious now due to missing most of her luxurious coat, but it will grow back in quickly. Rosie is super sweet and loves cuddling in any lap that will allow it and is like a shadow around the house. She has a great appetite and should gain some weight to regain her normal figure. She will need to be spayed and recover prior to adoption, but that should all happen in the next few weeks. She loves playing with her foster sibling, Pepper, and also enjoys her down time resting in her bed or your lap.
