This handsome seal point Siamese mix was rescued from a composting facility in Arkansas after a Good Samaritan noticed he was in trouble. Underweight and battling a severe upper respiratory infection, Oscar was suffering from discharge from his eyes and nose when he was brought to a veterinarian. After 16 days of treatment and care, he was finally given the chance every cat deserves-a fresh start. At a little over two years old, Oscar has learned to be thoughtful about who he trusts. He can seem reserved when meeting new people, preferring to watch from a safe distance before deciding you're worthy of joining his inner circle. But beneath that cautious exterior is a sweet, loving cat who genuinely enjoys affection once he feels secure. He will need to transition from a small space to a large space so he feels secure. When Oscar decides you're his person, you'll be rewarded with head bumps, requests for pets, and the quiet companionship that Siamese lovers know and adore. He isn't flashy about his affection-he's authentic. The bond you build with Oscar is one that grows steadily and becomes incredibly meaningful. Note: he loves to be brushed!
