About Toby Tater

'Toby Tater' came to us in January of 2026, after his owner of 7 years died. He was discarded and in need of a warm place to find a new home. We are not sure of conditions at his prior home but was raised with an older gentleman solely. He came in need of grooming, only had been groomed a couple times, and very nervous and anxious. We quickly realized, he was resource guarding his toys, his vest, and treats. We brought in our trainer and she said he is absolutely traumatized at some level. With LOVE, he has truly turned around but he will NEED to be in a home with women (a man with patience and a gentle demeanor) is fine. He is so funny and such a character. He gets the zoomies and LOVEs to snuggle and take naps with you. TobyTater is 7 years young, neutered male. He would do fine with a female dog as well. He tolerates our male dogs but he is so bossy with them. He doesn't mind cats or chickens. He has been cared for in a holistic manner since January 2026. He is approximately 15lbs.
