About Marty

Meet Marty! Marty came to the shelter as a stray and, sadly, was never reclaimed by an owner. He is now settling into a foster home while he quietly waits for his forever family to find him. Marty is a big guy, although he could stand to gain a few pounds. Despite needing a deshedding bath and nail trim when he arrived in foster care, he was remarkably tolerant of handling. He allowed everything to be done with very little resistance-a great start for a dog who is still adjusting to a completely new environment. So far, Marty has been dog-neutral with the dogs he has met. He's still settling in and hasn't fully come out of his shell yet, so we're hopeful that, with time, we'll get to see more of his true personality. What we know so far is that Marty appears to be a pretty great all-around guy. Marty is estimated to be approximately 3 years old and is currently up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.
