Looking for a new home for our pup, Max. We are surrendering him to a loving, responsible new owner as we had a single incident with Max biting our toddler/asserting dominance after being startled by our toddler while asleep on the couch. He is a happy, friendly, high energy trail dog that we've taken with us on mountain biking, hiking, camping and other outdoor adventures consistently for the last 6 years. He loves fetch, is extremely affectionate and loving towards adults but does not interact well with children or other dogs/small animals. We will only consider new homes that have ample access to the outdoors, an understanding of the level of activity required to keep him happy (lots of fetch, running, exploring trails, etc.) and time to dedicate to keeping him active on a daily basis. Also, we will only rehome to an adults only environment with no other dogs present, as he has resource guarding tendencies and does not play well with children (high energy, plays rough). We love Max dearly but cannot, in good conscience, keep him in our home with a toddler present. Max is well trained and house broken-- he loves sleeping in his crate and responds to basic commands in the home and in the outdoors (sit, stay, come, kennel up, stop, shake hands, no, heel.) If you have a good heart, love dogs, and lead a lifestyle that emphasizes time in the outdoors, cruising down trails and can guarantee daily play and adventures-- Max will be the best trail companion you've ever had. We will need to meet and vet potential new owners via video call, and will want to meet in person prior to finalizing any adoption.
