He weighs a smidge over three pounds. He was dumped by a known animal lovers house in the IE after Easter along with a duck! Of course she rescued him and got him to Kribs for Kritters! Adoptable Barkleby's sweet nature will have you wondering why you waited so long to take him home! He's a sofa snuggler, bed buddy, couch cuddler extraordinaire! He clamors for attention and patiently waits for his turn to be picked up out of his 4x4 enclosure to be whisked away to the larger, free roam exercise area of the rescue. Here he kicks up his heels, twirls and does his happy dance (binkies). But what he really wants more than anything is just love. Plain and simple love. Barkleby was neutered on June 15, 2026 He has an estimated DOB of December 2025. Barkleby should be housed in an exercise pen or free roam. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is always open and an exercise pen placed around it. (Nylon, pop-up playpens are not recommended as a rabbit will chew right through it!) Please be over 21 if inquiring about Barkleby. Rabbits are a 10+ year commitment. Barkleby can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information. PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you've never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!
