About Boba

Have you ever met a puppy that acts like he's already retired? Meet Boba. At around 16 weeks old and just over 20 pounds, Boba is believed to be a hound mix with legs for days, paws the size of dinner plate's, and a very good chance of becoming a big boy. Found as a stray in the South, he's now learning that people, couches, and belly rubs are actually pretty awesome. Boba is not your typical puppy. Sure, he'll happily untie your shoes and believes every object deserves a quick taste test, but once that's out of the way, he's ready for his next nap. While other puppies are doing laps around the yard, Boba is wondering if anyone would like to join him on the couch for a nice cuddle and maybe a nap in the sunshine. We like to say Boba is still figuring out how to be a dog. New things can make him a little nervous, but his tail rarely stops wagging, and once he realizes everything is okay, he's all in. His giant puppy eyes could convince almost anyone to hand over unlimited ear scratches. But if you stop too soon, expect a gentle paw smack reminding you that your job isn't finished. If you've noticed he moves a little differently than most puppies, don't worry! Boba has had the full VIP veterinary workup-X-rays, bloodwork, and more and he's a healthy boy. He's just a little gangly and still trying to coordinate those extra-long legs. Think baby giraffe but with floppy ears. Boba is doing an amazing job with house and crate training and hasn't had an accident in his foster home. Which doesnt mean he wont still need work once in a new home. He's wonderful with children, gentle with kids as young as four, and absolutely loves other dogs. He enjoys a little playtime, and will romp with the best of them, but honestly? He's much happier cuddling with his dog friends than body-slamming them. Boba is looking for a family that will help him continue building confidence while appreciating that not every puppy comes with a nonstop zoomie setting. Some puppies are chaos. Boba is comfort.
