About Sweet Tea

Meet Sweet Tea !! This cutie came to us with her buddy Lemonade (posted separately) They were very scared at the shelter but instantly became the nicest little ladies the moment we got them out. They are thriving in separate foster homes, they were not bonded and they are fine to go to separate homes. Sweet Tea is a min pin or chihuahua type mix. She weighs 9.6 Pounds and is full grown. Her shelter paperwork said 3 years old but the vet that spayed her said 2 years old maximum and potentially younger than that. She is already spayed, be up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She is heartworm negative and on monthly preventions. Sweet Tea is a quiet cuddly little lady. She loves to snuggle up with her face in your neck or go belly up for pets. Shes very easy going and super sweet. As you can see by many of her pictures she loves to be VERY close to you She has been very good with her training so far. She has done well with potty training. She was perfect on all car rides. She does well with leash walking and is also crate trained but doesnt need to be crated. She loves to either sleep on the couch with you or cuddle up in her dog bed. Sweet Tea has done good with all the dogs shes met both big and small. She really doesnt care about other dogs much and can be nervous of other dogs in her face. She does some growling but gets over it quickly. Shes never met cats but would likely do find. She has not met any kids in her foster home. Shes a bit head shy and nervous meeting new people so calmer kids that can give her space at first would be best. She needs to be with kids old enough to not treat her like a toy. She has a low energy level and would be great for a senior home or many types of families. Shes definitely looking for love and likes to hang out with you. Shes also fine to chill alone when you arent home. We think a more playful side may emerge once shes fully settled but so far her only goals are relaxing. She hasnt shown any issues sharing food, treats, or toys with humans or other pets. She takes treats gently. She does growl at other dogs that approach when youre cuddling with her so a slightly protective side to her. She has not done this to people. Overall shes a well behaved little lady that loves cuddles and is very easy to have around. We cant wait for her to find her forever home. Vet and home checks required. Located in Hampton VA.
