It breaks my heart to write this, but I am looking to rehome my beautiful 1.5-year-old female English Mastiff / South African Boerboel mix. She is entering social maturity, and due to a recent severe conflict with my older dog, it is no longer safe to keep them together in our small home.About Her & Her Wonderful Heart:She is an absolute sweetheart, a massive cuddler, and deeply affectionate. She has been raised in our home with myself and my four daughters (ages 29, 20, 16, and 12). One of my daughters is special needs, and this sweet girl has been incredibly kind, gentle, and intuitive with her. She has never shown a single ounce of aggression toward any of us or our families, and she loves her people deeply. She is intact, but I will fully pay for her spay surgery prior to or upon her adoption.The Challenges (Full Transparency Required):She has strong, hardwired guardian instincts that require a knowledgeable handler who understands structural boundaries.Dog Reactivity: She recently attacked one of our older dogs. The fight was severe, resulting in a Level 4 bite requiring veterinary surgery. She cannot be trusted around other animals and must be the only pet.Territorial Instincts: At 9 months old, she grabbed the shirt of a guest entering our home. She needs a controlled entryway routine when visitors arrive.Her Perfect Home Requirements:She is a truly good dog who just needs the right environment to thrive safely. She needs an experienced, single-pet home where she can be the center of attention without the pressure of managing pack boundaries.Must be the ONLY pet (No other dogs, cats, or small animals).Experienced guardian-breed home required (Someone who understands large, protective working breeds).Secure, physical fencing required (No invisible fences).Vet references and a home check will be mandatory.We are currently managing a strict 'crate and rotate' system to keep everyone safe, but it is stressful for the dogs.
