Polo is a 6-year-old Chessie looking for the forever home he deserves. After being surrendered by his owner to a shelter, he's ready to leave that chapter behind and become someone's beloved companion. Polo is a true 'velcro dog' who forms a strong bond with his people and wants to be wherever they are. If you're looking for a devoted best friend who will happily follow you from room to room, Polo is your guy. He has a gentle, loving heart. He enjoys attention, loves playing fetch, and is happiest when he's included in everyday life. In his foster home, Polo has shown wonderful house manners, is crate trained, and has reliable recall. Polo can be a little pushy with other dogs, likely because he didn't receive the love, guidance, and socialization he deserved in his younger years. He would do best as an only dog or with a confident, equal-sized female who can be a compatible companion. Polo has so much love to give and is simply waiting for someone to give him the chance. If you're looking for a loyal, devoted companion who will be by your side through life's adventures, Polo is ready to come home. Polo is being cared for by Chesapeake Bay Retriever Relief & Rescue (CBRR&R).
