About Lewis

Meet Lewis! Lewis is a 9-month-old Aussie mix weighing 27 pounds, with shiny chocolate-colored fur, the prettiest eyes, and a personality that is impossible not to love. He has blossomed into a fun, affectionate young dog who is ready to find his forever family. Lewis is potty trained, dog-door trained, crate trained, and good on leash, making him a pretty easy guy to welcome into your home. He does wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and enjoys having canine friends around. He has a low-to-mid energy level, so he is happy to play and have fun but also knows how to settle down and relax. He enjoys toys and will happily entertain himself with a good play session, but what Lewis really enjoys is having a human companion. He likes being near his people and has discovered that couch cuddles are a pretty wonderful part of life. Lewis does well with respectful children who understand how to interact with dogs. Younger, unpredictable children can make him uncomfortable, so a home with older children who can respect his space would be the better fit. Lewis is curious, playful, and sweet. He has a goofy side that comes out when he's having fun, and his beautiful personality continues to shine more every day. He would love a family that includes him in their daily life and gives him plenty of companionship. He is great with dogs of all sizes, and another friendly dog in the home would be a wonderful bonus. A securely fenced yard would also be ideal for this handsome boy. Lewis is past the tiny puppy stage but still young enough to have years of adventures ahead of him.
