About Frodo

This is Frodo. Frodo is a healthy 5 year old neutered male Irish Wolfhound that needs to find his person. He's an incredibly sweet boy. He walks well on lead and responds to verbal correction. He enjoys riding in the car and visiting new places. He is well socialized, fully vaccinated, and gentle. He loves attention, and playing fetch and tug. He gets along with cats. He plays well with his 'brother' Rory, and I have no doubts he would do well with any other dog or cat he was properly introduced to. Frodo is crate trained, but he adheres to a very specific schedule or he will go in his crate without qualm. He will dig in a yard if left unattended. He needs a person that can bond closely with him in a way that I have not been able to. I have been working from home for the past six years, so I've been able to let him out as frequently as he demands, but circumstances have changed. I'm likely going to need to find a new job outside the home, and my mental health (and his) cannot cope with coming home to a crate filled with urine and poo every day. I've been trying to get him to go my entire workday without a break for the past couple of years with no progress, so I'm making the difficult but prudent choice to find him a new home. Frodo's adoption fee is $500 and is non-negotiable. Giant breed dogs are not inexpensive to care for or maintain, and I need to be sure this is a financial commitment you are willing to undertake. He will come with his crate, a 6 month supply of heartworm and flea medication, his toys, and a 50 pound bag of his food.
