About Dusse(DooSay)

We had to google her name to find out how to pronounce it, and perhaps to see what it means. One of the things we found out is that Dusse is a cognac. Perhaps she was named after that? It is pronounced...DooSay. And she knows her name, it is pretty, and it suits her. She could be a smooth cognac, if that was your thing. She is pretty mellow and certainly has a relaxing vibe. Well, most of the time. For those of you that have loved a Chihuahua before, you know they can also be Barney Fife nervous and trembly. (ok you youngsters...google Barney Fife.) Dusse has those little nervous trembles and worried looks, but once she settles in for her snuggles, she settles down and feels safe. Dusse is just 3 years old, and a very tiny SIX pounds. She could use a little bit of weight, she seems a little thin, being at the shelter was tough on this sensitive little girl. She was given up by her family when they had landlord issues. She seems to have been very much loved, despite her initial nervousness she has been very gentle and sweet. She is quite the little snuggler, and could use a person/family that will help her feel safe again. She is so tiny that we do not think a home with small children will be best. A peaceful adult home with someone around most of the time would be perfect. Dusse is working on her housebreaking, she is doing much better with frequent potty breaks. She does not understand the concept of potty pads at his point, so a little patience is needed. Dusse is a darling little girl looking for that special, gentle and loving home. She can be so loving, happy and wiggly once she settles in. It is rough being in the shelter/rescue situation for such a sensitive soul. Dusse is waiting for her very special person!
