Everybody loves an underdog, right? Meet Izzy! She was overlooked in the shelter for months and months and has been in foster since early January. This 50 lb, estimated 5-year-old quirky girl is the perfect mix of independent and affectionate. She's quiet, low-maintenance, and trustworthy enough to relax loose in the house or in a crate while you're away. Her silly personality shines through during a good game of tug-of-war, and she's always happy to claim a spot in your lap afterward. Izzy is up to date on vaccines but is currently heartworm positive, though, not to fear- her treatment/injections will be fully sponsored. She has medium-to-low energy and would love a home with a backyard where she can enjoy sunbathing and sniffing all the smells! She is easy on leash except reactive when passing dogs, so if you live in a quiet neighborhood, she'd be a great walking partner too. Izzy loves everyone she has met so far but would probably thrive with someone/a family looking for a loyal companion and who doesn't intend to adopt a second dog (or cat) since she does prefer to be the only dog! Please email me or text me if you could give this girl the best second half of her life! She needs a home ASAP to avoid euthanasia at the full shelter since I'm moving out of country soon!
