Meet Valery! �%9D%A4��%8F Location: Garland, TX DOB: 5/30/21 Valery is truly a gentle giant with an even bigger heart. Since coming into foster care, she's been discovering that love, safety, and trust are real-and her confidence grows a little more every day. Her favorite place is indoors, where she has air conditioning, a comfy sofa, and, most importantly... STUFFIES! She absolutely loves collecting her stuffed animals (and the occasional pillow if a bedroom door is left open), carrying them around the house, arranging them just the way she likes, and eventually snuggling up with them for a nap. Watching this 140+ pound sweetheart lovingly tote around her plush toys is one of the cutest things you'll ever see. Valery is a true couch potato who prefers a calm, relaxed lifestyle. She's perfectly happy spending time lounging around the house or enjoying the backyard with her canine companion. Loud noises can make her a little nervous, especially the outdoor bug zapper or the sound of candles being lit, but she's becoming more confident every day. She has been wonderful with her foster family's younger female Pit Bull, happily helping 'guard' the backyard together. She's also done beautifully with three resident cats, each with very different personalities. Depending on everyone's mood, she'll either politely ignore them or stop for a gentle sniff before going about her day. Valery has welcomed every houseguest with calm, friendly manners. While she hasn't had the opportunity to meet children directly, she regularly watches the students at the elementary school behind her foster home playing and exercising without any issues. She's making great progress with her training and is: Mostly housebroken Crate trained Good on a leash A wonderful passenger in the car It's clear that Valery has had puppies in the past, and now it's her turn to be the one who is cherished. She absolutely loves gentle pets, cuddles, and affection, and she's ready to spend her golden years surrounded by the love she's always deserved.
