I rescued Delilah from Dekalb county animal shelter. Staff had told me she was great with other dogs but I am afraid that hasn't been the case. In a public setting yes, in a home no. She has resource guarding tendencies and attacks my senior with no warning. I've given it time but and corrected the behavior every time but now my senior Ringo's behavior is changing because of Delilah. He not only hides from her but now hides from my other dog who has never attacked him. It's affecting him emotionally and I had him first so I have to do what's best for him. Delilah is a GREAT dog. Polite leash manners. Knows basic commands. House trained, not destructive. Just wants to curl up on the couch with her person. I've taken her out in public and she does amazing. Loves car rides and playing fetch. She has an odd obsession with rocks and will push them around the yard if she finds one haha. But with her behavior she would do best in a home with no other dogs. She's ignored my cat and doesn't seem to have prey drive. I don't have kids so I haven't tested her around kids myself but she lived with kids before she was seized from her previous owner. If you have a dog free home and want an easy keeper, she is the one for you.
