About Ducky

Adoption Fee: $175
Great Pyrenees
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

WHAT A GLOW UP! When Ducky was turned in to Patrick County Public Animal Shelter, it was obvious that she would need a little extra medical care to feel better. Thankfully, Richmond Animal Care & Control's Tommie Fund helped them pay for the care they could not afford. After getting her on the road to recovery, Ducky came to us to continue her journey to happily ever after! Ducky is now ready for adoption! She is a Great Pyrenese who is about 3 years old and is a rather petite lady at around 60-65 pounds. She is great with the other dogs in her foster home and has enjoys 'wrestle style play.' Like most guardian breeds, Ducky is sweet and affectionate to those she knows but is a bit reserved around strangers. She is house trained and crate trained and sure to make a great family member! We are not sure if she has any farm experience but we know that she would make a great family pet and would love to have a couple dogs to watch over if nothing else! Ducky is a true gem whose murky past is behind her. She has the rest of her life to shine and bring joy to a family who truly appreciates both her beauty and resilence! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule individual adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
