About Sage

Well hello there! Sage here, a 4-year-old, 29lb Cocker Spaniel boy with a whole lot of love to give! I was rescued from a local shelter and let me tell you, I am ready to make the absolute most of my second chance! I'm what you'd call a velcro dog - I want to be right next to you, getting pets and cuddles, ALL the time. Fetch is my jam and I bring it back every single time. I would love a yard where I can play with my humans or a local dog park (I LOVE the park)! I'm pretty good on a leash with just a little extra work needed on my enthusiatic pulling. Did you mention TOYS, I also love toys especially tearing them open to see what's inside. I get along great with other dogs and some dog-savvy cats but chasing them is fun too, so I might not be a good match for all cats. I think I would do fine with kids 12 and up. I'm crate-trained and also a great car-riding buddy. I mind my manners at mealtime and respect my dog housemates' food bowls. With all the recent changes in my life, I may need a little house-training refresher, but I am a good boy and smart too�'�|I learn quickly. Foster Mom is teaching me some basic commands. I love being with my humans so much that it's hard to be apart from them�'�|I would really do best with a family who's home more often than not. I'm new to my foster home and still finding my footing, so for now I get a little nervous when left alone and will cry or bark.
