About Kane

Kane is a 6 year old pitbull/american staffordshire terrier mix. He is a very kind-hearted dog and needs a lifetime companion that can shower him with love, attention, time, and snuggles. He currently lives with a 2 year old child and two miniature poodles. The Poodles boss him around- he is very submissive- and extremely loving toward our child. He is full of energy. He loves to chase balls, go for walks, and go to the dog park. But, he is equally as happy lounging around and snuggling. Unfortunately, we no longer have room for Kane and his quality of living has diminished as we can no longer take him on long hikes and to the dog park as much as we would like. We are expecting another child and know we cannot meet his needs to level we want moving forward. He is a protective and dog and child friendly. He would thrive with a active, young, single person or couple or a family with a fenced in yard that is active. He's the best dog and everyone loves him. We adopted him after he ran from his previous owners twice so, he will need a fence or electric fence. But as long as he has a ball and rope or chew toy and a firm leader, he will take to you immediately. He's strong and needs a firm hold on leash (we use a gentle leader). He truly is the best dog we're heart broken to see him go. We'd love to stay in contact and help with transition.
