ATHENA A2283453 - FEMALE, WHITE AND BLACK AKITA. Shelter: WEST VALLEY Age: 5 YRS, Weight: 81 LBS. This animal has been at the shelter since 07/09/2026 and on this list since 07/11/2026. Medical Condition Update: Athena A2283453 at WV is on Orange/Alert Major Medical: 1. Chronic generalized chronic skin condition: Generalized erythema, seborrhea, lichenification, 'elephant skin appearance' symmetrical alopecia chest, limbs, thighs to lumbar to sacral region, hyperpigmentation. Athena's chronic generalized chronic skin condition likely due to an underlying systemic disease differential diagnosis: endocrine disease, autoimmune, other, open diagnosis. After Athena is adopted, she will need a full diagnostic work up and treatments for her chronic skin condition and a full diagnostic workup to diagnose and treat her underlying disease that is the primary cause of her skin condition. 2. High FAS (fear anxiety stress). Athena must be rescued before 7/16/2026 before 4:00 PM or sooner!!! Athena may be euthanized at any time if her medical condition declines.
