About Max

This breaks my heart to write, but I am looking to rehome our two year-old dog Max. Long story short, he was starved and emaciated and was kicked out by his previous owner when he was just a puppy. We took him in originally as a foster, but unfortunately, we live in Texas, where stray dogs are rampant and no rescue would take him because he was a bigger dog. We have two smaller dogs, and at first they didn't mind him because he was small, but as he got bigger and more energetic, they became terrified of him. He tries to play with them and they want nothing to do with him, and sometimes they even try to attack him because they are defending themselves. It's turned into a very toxic situation and with my husband's medical issues, we are unable to give him the proper home that he needs. So I am writing here to see if anyone would be looking to take in our sweet boy. He is great with people, and I think he's good with other dogs as he's good with ours. He is fully vaccinated, up-to-date on them, is neutered, and we would even pay for transport. We are just people that are used to smaller dogs and unfortunately, we have not been able to give any attention to our other two dogs as Max takes up a lot of our time and energy. He deserves a home where he can thrive in.
