Shelter deadline 7/16 4pm. Hi. My name is Marlin (A290313)... well, you can call me your future best friend. I'm a 2-year-old American Staffordshire mix, and I've been waiting at the shelter since I was found as a stray back in April.I'm just a little guy. Nobody came looking for me, so now I'm hoping someone out there has been unknowingly waiting for me instead. Can I tell you a little secret? The dog you see bouncing, jumping, and acting like he's had ten cups of coffee when someone walks into the kennel... isn't really me. Living in a kennel is hard. It's loud. It's stressful. Every time someone walks by, I wonder, 'Is this my chance?' My heart gets ahead of my manners, and I get a little carried away. But the second you clip on my leash and we walk outside... I exhale. Suddenly, I'm the dog my shelter friends know and love. I walk nicely. I soak up affection. I enjoy simply being beside you. I'm sweet, friendly, and happiest when life slows down. I don't need chaos. I don't need excitement. I just need peace. A soft bed. A quiet home. Someone who understands that I've been trying so hard to be noticed in a place that's anything but calm. The hardest part? My time is almost up. I am on a deadline of July 16. Not because I'm a bad dog-but because shelter life has become too much for me. Please don't let the kennel decide who I am. Come meet the dog I become once I'm out of it. I promise... that's the version of me you'll want to take home. Please share my story. My forever family may not even know I'm looking for them yet See less
