About Ace-URGENT!!!

Sweet Ace needs HELP!!! URGENT need for a foster parent through a rescue org.!!! Can also foster to adopt through it. Shepherds are at an increased risk of being euthanized when the shelter, Chicago Animal Care and Control, gets over-capacity, esp. if owner surrendered, which he is. Tragically it is currently full, which is often the case!!! The shelter has a policy of mostly not offering purebred Shepherds up for adoption. Sweet Ace is only rescue due to this policy, therefore chance of making it out of there is even more decreased! The rescue orgs. that are taking foster/foster to adopt applications for him are: German Shepherd Rescue, Inc. if live in Chicagoland area/parts of Indiana (gsrescue1.org) and if in Wisconsin/Northern Illinois, which includes Chicago, Mit Liebe German Shepherd Dog Rescue (will need to copy and paste both links onto browser): www.mlgsdr.com. Sharing the following from one of the rescue orgs. that is taking applications: Ace is 10 years old. Owner surrender because they had kids and can no longer take care of him. The owner mentioned that he is good with kids and good with other dogs, including small dogs. He's a very nice boy no issues with handling and walks really well on leash. Ace did well meeting another dog at the shelter. Definitely seems to have some arthritis in his back end.
