About Oso-URGENT!!!

URGENT need for a foster parent for cutie Oso, young boy, through a rescue org.!!! Can also foster to adopt through it. Shepherds are at an increased risk of being euthanized when the shelter, Chicago Animal Care and Control, gets over-capacity. Tragically it is currently full, which is often the case!!! The shelter has a policy of mostly not offering purebred Shepherds up for adoption. Sweet Oso is only rescue due to this policy, therefore chance of making it out of there is even more limited! The rescue orgs. that are taking foster/foster to adopt applications for are: German Shepherd Rescue, Inc. if live in Chicagoland area/parts of Indiana (gsrescue1.org) and if in Wisconsin/Northern Illinois, which includes Chicago, Mit Liebe German Shepherd Dog Rescue (will need to copy and paste both links onto browser): www.mlgsdr.com. Sharing the following from one of the rescue orgs. that is taking applications: He came in as a chipped stray on July 3rd, and owner has not come in to reclaim. Is a very nice dog, no issues with handling and did fine meeting another dog. He could be a little barky at first because he really wants to go interact, but he was friendly meeting them. He knows sit and is food motivated, loves playing fetch. Cats & kids are unknown, but can be cat-tested.
