I have a dog I have to surrender as soon as possible. He mauls my autistic wife. She is now terrified of him in a life-altering way. He is a husky-Rottweiler mix. He's usually not violent. He has really high anxiety he was being medicated for due to a family member's abuse while I wasn't around. He's really playful. He loves playing with his rubber green ball that smells like bacon. He loves to go on walks. He was trained at a facility called Complete Canine. He knows and adjusts to commands. He knows how to sit, lie down, and go wherever you signal to and say 'place.' He does have a bite history. He bit my nephew and broke skin one day while they were playing fetch. He nipped a woman at a park. He started a fight with another dog and bit my fianc̩ twice. The first time, I didn't know; she didn't tell me because she thought I'd want to keep him whether she was afraid of him or not. The second time happened yesterday, 07/10/2026. I will provide images of our dog and the injury in case that is needed to help find him another home. I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm new to this process. I honestly just want to know an estimate of how long I have to prepare myself for the changes I have to make.
