About Macadamia

Mac is a neutered, healthy, loving, and highly trainable dog. He absolutely loves kids and gets along well with other dogs. He has never bitten anyone or another animal. He knows all of his basic commands, many advanced tricks, is crate trained (and enjoys his crate), and is e-collar trained. Mac is a wonderful companion. He is smart, loyal, affectionate, and loves being part of an active lifestyle. He enjoys hiking, exploring the forest, and outdoor adventures. His recall with his e-collar in those environments is excellent. At the same time, he is also a relaxed hound dog at home-if you are laying down, he would happily cuddle with you. He has no destructive behaviors such as chewing, digging, or escaping. He gets excited when meeting new people or experiencing new things, but he settles quickly and adapts well to the energy of his environment. Mac would do best with someone experienced with active working breeds, ideally someone with a fenced yard, acreage, or an active lifestyle. I truly believe he has so much to offer the right person and would make an incredible companion for someone who can meet his needs. I am willing to travel anywhere necessary to find the right foster or placement, and I will do everything I can to make the transition successful.
