The shelter is FULL, tragically, euthanizing for lack of space. Crapshoot which doggies are chosen. Lisbon arrived at the shelter on June 12th. When arrived was very scared, not surprisingly, especially since he is just a baby, but with the love and help of the volunteers, has mostly overcome that. He is though, developing kennel stress, which puts him in double jeopardy since the shelter also euthanizes for that/'mental distress'. At the shelter, dogs are mostly alone, kenneled in a loud, chaotic environment, which is no place for any dog, but especially not a puppy. He is an affectionate type of doggie, has a pretty good sit, can be jumpy sometimes, but since he loves his treats and is just a baby, can easily train out, if focused upon. He met a dog on leash at the shelter, did well, but became afraid when jumped on. PLEASE, if have room in your home, in your heart, email to meet adorable, very good boy, Lisbon. He can also be fostered, besides adopted. If want to see other wonderful dogs, who are also in great need of finding a loving home, scroll down & click on, 'Chicago Animal Care and Control', left-hand side. Come. Please.
