About Diesel

Diesel is very unhappy here at the rescue. He wants to be with his people in a home. He cry's for me when I walk away from him or he sees me outside. IT BREAKS MY HEART! This boy is 100% a people dog and has NEVER met a stranger. It's very hard not to fall in love with this blockhead! He's amazing! Please read his description if you are interested in him. Yes Did you get the dog as a puppy or adult ? Adult Has the dog had any formal training with a trainer? No Good with kids ? Yes , just keep in mind his size around smaller children as he's easy to bump them over on accident ! Good with strangers ? Yes loves people Good with chickens/ farm animals? hasn't been around them . Good with dogs of all sizes and gender? Not good with males, will also fight females if they attack him first. Good with cats? Foster says Yes What does the dog enjoy? sniffing around , laying around , getting lovings is #1. Loves being right beside his human!! What does the dog dislike? pretty chill guy just doesn't like other male dogs or aggressive females. Crate trained, house trained, leash trained? yes & yes , yes but pulls especially if he sees a squirrel Does the dog know specific commands? sit lay , crate , outside . Does the dog have any issues with health ? No he's a healthy boy Are vet records available ? Yes Is there agression? Bites to animals or people ? 2 incidents with a male dog when a barrier wasn't secure a fight broke out . Female attacked him and he fought back Food aggression? no ! Guard toys? no ! shows little to no interest in toys ! Has the dog been socialized in public? great with people , only downfall is pulling on leash when excited Food Allergies? no Environmental Allergies? No Does the dog enjoy car rides? YES , goes right to car everytime he's outside trying to go somewhere Is there any anxiety? Being left alone. Must have a sturdy crate. He settles after awhile. A home that would have to crate him for longs hours would be great! Where does the dog normally sleep ? couch , crate , bed , porch How long does the dog go between potty breaks ? He can hold it for hours, at the rescue he has a doggy door Do you have a fenced yard or walk the dog to potty ? Fenced yard Do you have steps and can the dog maneuver them ? Yes Any other issues the dog has that we need to monitor? needs to be in a home with only submissive female dog and must have a fenced yard! Why is the dog being rehomed? Rescued from a bad situation What do you feel would be a perfect home for the dog? a home where he is the only dog is ideal. Also a home where someone is home most of the time, , big, fenced yard he can roam , and lots of love for him to receive ! Diesel wants to be part of a family he's so sweet!
