I helped find them homes when they were puppies, and I'm now helping make sure they find another amazing forever home. BONDED PAIR - 2.5 Y/O MALE PIT/BOXER MIXES (DOB: 10/15/24). Their names are 'Spike' and 'Charlie.' They are littermate brothers and are extremely bonded. Background: Current Parent has had both boys since they were 6 months old. UTD on shots WITH record. Both are Fixed. Good with kids. Currently live with children ages 5, 8, 12, and 14. Good with dogs. Good with cats. Currently live peacefully with four cats. House trained. Crate trained. Any known medical issues?: None known. Both boys do have separation anxiety. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: Possible previous abuse. Both are fearful of men. ENERGY LEVEL: �'ۢ Spike: High Energy. �'ۢ Charlie: Medium Energy. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: Medium. (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): Yes, but both become very excited, jump, and can be hyper when meeting new people. Loves: Stuffed animals, cuddling, chilling on the couch, playing with kids, playing with dogs, balls, fetch, sleeping in bed with their person, being near their person, Nylabones, and rope toys. Spike: Loves all of the above and is the more energetic of the two. Charlie: Loves all of the above plus food, treats, and belly scratches. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: These boys are very intelligent. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): Yes. *Good on a Leash?: Yes. *Lovable?: They are incredibly lovable once they bond with their family. *Eager and fast learners?: Yes. Bite History?: None disclosed. NOTES FROM CURRENT PARENT: 'Spike is a sweetheart with the energy and bounce of a kangaroo. He just wants to be someone's best friend and play fetch allllll day . He needs reassurance and patience when in new surroundings but wouldn't hurt a fly :)'. Spike just needs the right person and he will grow into the most amazing pet. 'Charlie is awesome . He is a cuddle bug and just wants to be with his person . He loves slow walks and allllll the car rides ! Charlie is the best. He's young and could turn into someone's best friend and he deserves it !' Re Homing because�'�|: After adopting Spike and Charlie, the CSP's son was diagnosed with Autism which takes a lot of time and patience. Her son tends to be more aggressive with the dogs and they tend to hide from him. CSP also had double carpal tunnel surgery this summer and can no longer leash walk them. So they have been acting out and running away daily out onto main roads. Will thrive best�'�|?: In a loving home with someone who is home often, preferably with a woman and children. They will need a securely fenced yard, as they are known to dig under fences. Boundary training and supervision outdoors will be very important. These boys are deeply bonded and would love to stay together. However, if absolutely necessary to save them, they may be separated into equally wonderful homes.
