Ollie is a handsome, neutered German Shepherd mix (about 1 year old) looking for a loving, experienced forever home. Making this decision has been incredibly difficult. Due to an unexpected divorce and major life changes, I'm no longer able to give him the time, structure, and consistency he deserves. My goal is simply to find him a home where he can truly thrive. Ollie is incredibly affectionate, loyal, goofy, and loves being with his people. He's very intelligent, eager to learn, and already knows basic commands. He's crate trained, house trained, fully vaccinated, healthy, and loves playing outside, going for walks, and having a job to do. He does experience anxiety and currently takes fluvoxamine twice daily, which has helped him significantly. He has made tremendous progress with his dog reactivity through training. He can still become reactive when anxious or while guarding a high-value item like a bone, so he'll do best with someone experienced with German Shepherds or working breeds who understands how to continue building his confidence. I'm not looking for the first person who inquires-I'm looking for the right fit. An active home with plenty of time for exercise, training, and companionship would be ideal. I'd also love someone willing to stay in touch and let me know how he's doing. If you think you could be the right person for Ollie, I'd love to hear from you.
