Very sweet rabbit that was found at a local park. It has been several weeks, but the previous owners haven't come forward, even though it's been reported to animal control and also posted on various sites. So, we think it was abandoned. It loves being petted and gets the zooomies sometimes when being let out and corralled around the yard. The local Triangle rabbits group has some adoption guidelines, and I'm trying to find someone that can accommodate these guidelines. It definitely has lots of energy and likes being able to run, so a yard with a fence would be ideal. But otherwise these are the Triangle Rabbits guidelines: Minimum of 10 square feet of living space for a single small breed single rabbit Minimum of 16 square feet of living space for bonded pairs and large breeds Minimum of 24 square feet of bunny-proof play area for exercise Living and exercise areas must be in a climate controlled indoor space Other rabbits in the home must be spayed or neutered We do not adopt rabbits into homes with snakes or ferrets We do not adopt rabbits as surprise gifts or classroom pets It is not bothered at all by my cats and will approach them through the pen, but I don't personally trust letting mine interact with it. If you have a cat that you feel very confident won't attack the Rabbit, well I can at least confirm that it will be okay being together with it. I am assuming it is currently not litter box trained, but it does seem to at least prefer to go in the hay that I am providing in the pen. This is not always the case though. Be aware that regardless if you're able to end up litter training it or not, that the cleanup is a daily effort. This rabbit needs to go to a good home ASAP. I look forward to hearing from you!
