Thank you so much. Case opened on 7/7/26. URGENT!!! West Jefferson, Ohio (willing to drive up to 100 miles). 3 Y/O MALE LONG-HAIRED GSD (DOB: 1/15/23). His name is 'Marley'. Background: Current Shepherd Parent has had Marley since he was weaned from a breeder. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. Good with kids. Currently lives with children ages 4, 6, and 10. Good with LARGE dogs. NOT good with small breed dogs. Currently lives with a 5-year-old female Labrador. Good with cats?: Unknown. House trained. Crate trained. Any known medical issues?: When Marley was 14 weeks old, he tragically ran underneath the Current Shepherd Parent's husband's truck. By the time they realized what had happened, it was too late, so his front right leg had to be amputated. Marley has adapted wonderfully and does not let having three legs slow him down. He lives a normal happy and active life. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: None known. ENERGY LEVEL: Medium. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: Medium. Weighs 80 lbs. Currently on Diamond Beef High Protein food. (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): Yes. *Good on a Leash?: Yes. *Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. *Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Bite History?: None disclosed. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'Marley is a great family dog. He unfortunately does not like smaller dogs. He is house and crate trained. He is fixed. He listens to commands very well and even if he tried to run a different direction for whatever reason he will listen to you and come back. Has always been around little kids and anytime we have had people come over he has always greeted them with a wagging tail and kisses. Marley is an amazing dog. We have twins on the way and moved from the country to the city. Unfortunately, we decided to make a decision to better him and give him what he deserves and needs'. Re Homing because�'�|: There have been significant life changes, and the Current Shepherd Parent is no longer able to provide Marley with the life he needs to truly thrive. They recently moved from the country to the city, so Marley no longer has the space he loves to run and play. With twins on the way, they also know they cannot give him the time, attention, and active lifestyle he deserves. Marley will be a great companion for the right person.
