I am making the very hard decision to re home my. red heeler Roja. She is AKC certified and I am her first and only owner. I have become more disabled the last 3 years and have not been able to help her manage her energy. This is creating an anxious dog. Roja has some quirks. She would be best in a home with a high energy person who would like to exercise her and work with her on obedience, frisbee, and or playing catch. She knows basic commands but is a cattle dog and tends to choose her own path. She does live with her sister but has increasingly become aggressive toward her, so Roja would be best in a home with no other dogs. She is highly aggressive on leash with any other dog. She is a very alert dog and will protect your home. She has also been raised around chickens and ducks. She has been raised with cats but I would introduce slowly. She has anxiety and is afraid of loud thunder therefore she has to have trazodone during thunder storms and takes fluoxetine daily. She currently lives with two adults and two teenagers. If you're looking for a challenge and a very loyal heeler. Please contact me. She is spayed, micro chipped, and up to date on all vaccines. She is crate trained and often prefers to hang in her crate to sleep.
