Buck is an incredibly lovable, energetic, and loyal dog. He's smart, easy to train, and knows a long list of commands. He thrives outdoors and is happiest in a large yard or open space where he can run, play fetch with his Kong, and keep an eye on everything during his 'border patrol.' He has so many little quirks that make him even more endearing, and he's always up for a cuddle or a nap. Buck trusts deeply and is very tolerant with his people and with vets. Buck would be a wonderful companion for someone with a ranch, acreage, or regular access to large outdoor spaces. However, he would not be a good fit for a home with cats, small dogs, or young children. He's about three years old, healthy, and was originally adopted from a local shelter - we don't know anything about his past, but he has clearly been loved at some point. We are heartbroken to be rehoming him. Buck had a biting incident during a moment of overstimulation, and we aren't able to provide the environment he needs to be successful. We want him to go to a loving, experienced owner who understands working or herding breeds and can give him the structure, space, and stimulation he deserves.
