About Runner

1 year old. Fully vetted. 58lbs. Heart worm negative. Sweet as sugar! Meet Runner. ��ժ Runner isn't here because he was a bad dog. Quite the opposite. He's house-trained. He walks beautifully on a leash. He listens. He's gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he's curled up beside the people he loves. He's the kind of dog who will play fetch in the yard, romp with other dogs, and then happily spend the evening snuggled up on the couch with his family. He adores children, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, is great with cats, and has the calm, easygoing personality everyone hopes to find. He's truly the complete package. So why is he sitting in a county kill shelter? His owner met someone with children who were severely allergic to dogs. Faced with an impossible decision, she surrendered Runner and his sister to the shelter. His sister was lucky-she was adopted. Runner is still waiting. Imagine watching your best friend leave while every day you wonder if anyone will ever come for you. He doesn't understand why his family disappeared. He doesn't understand why strangers keep walking past his kennel. He only knows he's still waiting for someone to love. Runner has so much life and love left to give.
