**Meet Cheddar - A Quiet Companion Looking for Her Perfect Home** Cheddar is our beautiful Bengal girl, born on October 25, 2019. She has always been a gentle, sensitive soul with a heart full of love for the people she trusts. Once she bonds with you, she's the kind of cat who happily curls up in your lap, leans into back scratches (especially near the base of her tail), and follows her daily routines with adorable enthusiasm. At mealtime, she gets so excited that she wiggles across the kitchen rug like a little fish. She also loves lickable treats, cozy blankets, and interactive toys. This decision has been incredibly difficult for our family, but we love her enough to recognize that she would be happier in a different environment. Cheddar would thrive as the only pet in a quiet home with one or two adults. While she has always been gentle and loving with our children, we feel she would do best in a home without children, where life is calm and predictable. She is naturally shy and can be startled by loud noises, visitors, or unfamiliar situations, but with patience and consistency she blossoms into an incredibly affectionate companion. When Cheddar was about two years old, we added two kittens to our family. Although she initially accepted them, living with other cats has gradually become stressful for her. Over time she has become more withdrawn, and we believe she deserves a home where she doesn't have to compete for space or constantly feel on edge. Cheddar is front declawed, so it's especially important to us that she be an indoor-only cat in a safe home where she doesn't need to defend herself against other animals. As a kitten, Cheddar was diagnosed with mild hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). It has never affected her quality of life. She eats well, plays, grooms herself, and enjoys life just like any other cat. She has been monitored by our veterinarian throughout her life, and we will gladly share her veterinary records with the right adopter. She has received outstanding veterinary care from the same veterinarian since she was a kitten. She is current on all vaccinations, receives annual wellness exams, routine bloodwork, and yearly dental cleanings. We are asking a $200 rehoming fee to help ensure she finds a committed, loving forever home. Our greatest wish is to find someone who will give Cheddar the peaceful, patient home where she can finally relax and be the affectionate, loving cat we know she is. We aren't looking for just any home, we're looking for the right one.
