Meet Bella (2 and a half)%BD%9D%A4%BD%BD%8F Bella is a beautiful Husky with striking eyes, a big personality, and enough energy to keep up with an active family. She is incredibly loyal and forms strong bonds with her people-she's definitely a 'Velcro dog' who loves being close to the people she trusts. She also has absolutely no concept of personal space. If you're sitting down, chances are Bella will be right there beside you (or on you), happily following you from room to room. That said, Bella is also wonderfully independent in true Husky fashion. Sometimes she'll decide she's had enough attention and doesn't want to be cuddled or touched anymore. It's one of those quirky little things that always makes me laugh-she wants to be near you, just not always *handled*. Like most Huskies, Bella is high-energy and thrives with plenty of daily exercise, mental stimulation, and room to run. She would do best with an active owner who enjoys long walks, hikes, playtime, or has a securely fenced backyard where she can burn off energy. She also sheds...a lot! Her future family should be prepared for regular brushing and plenty of Husky fur around the house. Bella can also be a bit of a picky eater. Some days she'll happily eat her food, and other days she'll barely touch it. She can be particular about what she's willing to eat, so her future family should expect a little trial and error to find what she enjoys. Bella is being re-homed through no fault of her own. My life circumstances have changed significantly, and I can no longer provide the time, space, and lifestyle she deserves. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, and my priority is finding her a safe, loving home where she can thrive. Because honesty is important, Bella has a history of fear-based biting. She has bitten both of my parents and a daycare worker in situations where she appeared to feel scared or threatened. She completed professional training, which helped in many ways, but her fear responses remain a concern. For that reason, Bella needs an experienced, patient adopter who understands canine body language and is willing to continue working with her using positive reinforcement. She is not a good fit for a first-time dog owner. While I have not personally seen Bella interact with young children, I believe she would do best in a home without small children. If there are children in the home, they should be older (around 8 years or older), respectful of dogs, and interactions should always be supervised. Bella has so much love to give the right person. She is smart, affectionate, funny, beautiful, and happiest when she feels secure and included in her family's life. My hope is to find someone who will appreciate her wonderful qualities, understand her challenges, and give her the stable, loving home she deserves. If you think you could be the right match for Bella, I'd love to tell you more about her.
