CHARLES BARKLEY is a 1-year-old, 13.4 Terrier mix who was surrendered after his owner moved and left him with a family member who couldn't keep him. His best home is going to be one where he gets lots of time and attention with his family and a fenced yard. CHARLES BARKLEY is a very sweet, happy little boy who is always excited to be with his people. He loves attention and wants to be included in everything you're doing. If someone else is getting the attention, he'll gently squeeze his way in so he doesn't miss out. He has never shown any signs of aggression and is happy to meet everyone. CHARLES BARKLEY loves to play with toys and enjoys the company of other small dogs. He would do well in a home with another playful dog or as an only dog, as long as he receives plenty of love, attention, and time with his family. He has not been around cats or kids, but his foster feels he would likely do well with either. Since he has not been tested with children, a home with older kids that have dog experience is preferred. CHARLES BARKLEY's potty training is a work in progress. He currently wears a belly band while inside as a precaution, although he hasn't been marking on it. His foster removes it whenever he goes outside to continue reinforcing good potty habits. As with many dogs, he may mark a little when settling into a new home. Like his name sake, he has a big jump and we believe a home with a secure fence yard is his best fit for his safety. At night, CHARLES BARKLEY sleeps in the big bed right next to his person and happily sleeps through the night. CHARLES BARKLEY is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
