URGENT!!!! ROSE, A1858033. Rose needs help!!! She will be euthanized on 7/11 due to severe FAS (Fear, anxiety stress)!!!! She is such a sweet girl. Please save her before it's too late!!! Video: https://www.facebook.com/reel/1544976460459942/?fs=e&mibextid=wwXIfr&fs=e The hardest part about taking a shelter dog out for the day is returning her to the place she finds so frightening and scary. This is ROSE #A1858033 and she's having a hard time with shelter life, especially now with the noise and fireworks from Fourth of July. ROSE desperately needs adoption or foster care. This sweet senior came to the shelter a few weeks ago as a stray dog. Sadly no one came for ROSE and now - at 9 years old - ROSE is one of too many abandoned homeless dogs at SLA desperate for a new beginning. ROSE spends a lot of time hiding in her cubby and she has reportedly growled & snarled when staff is at her kennel door. This mature darling is visibly scared and confused by shelter life and would benefit from a supportive and loving foster environment. She can be timid meeting strangers but warms up with reassurance and understanding. While ROSE has participated in playgroup and mingled a few times, she mostly just keeps to herself. This past week, ROSE enjoyed her first time on an adventure day out of the shelter. She was incredibly sweet and grateful. She rode well and quietly in the car, walked nicely on leash, and loved every kind interaction. Sadly, the moment she returned to South LA, she was scared and startled by the loud sounds of shelter life. She is not a dog who will survive the shelter environment long. If you can open your heart and home to ROSE, please visit the shelter and give this good girl a good home. The shelter is open Tuesday-Friday 8am-5pm and Saturday & Sundays 11am-5pm. Mondays for emergencies only. SLA / Chesterfield Square Animal Shelter 1850 W. 60th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90047 1-323-565-2160 or 1.323.565.2161
