This Scooby Doo twin is an absolute snuggle bug. She has the derpy walk, loves to eat, and loves her people. She is patient with kids and great with other dogs. Just nothing too small, like a cat or smaller'| she's gonna wanna 'get it'! She is house trained but not much else ٪ She is young and still a little spazzy, but old enough to have had a couple litters before she came to us. Why are we rehoming her? Well we're doing so reluctantly, but we've given it 3 months and have concluded we aren't the best family for her. 1. She must have been mistreated before because she is scared of everything. Unfortunately I have four kids between 5-14 who are included in the everything. (Actually she loves my youngest. Me and the 5yo are her only safe people.) But she generally does not trust my husband or three older kids, even as they just walk through the house not even looking at her. She spends 98% of the time I'm not home in her cozy corner or under our bed. And I work 8-5 outside the house while he WFH so that's a lot of time to be hiding z She's most happy at night when everyone is asleep and she can freely lope around the house and yard! 2. She has really high separation anxiety. This is the real reason we are needing to rehome. We managed to go five weeks without any issues because we literally never left her alone. We had someone in the room with her at all times, even if they weren't someone she didn't love but who hung out & gave her space. This week that wasn't possible and both days she was destructive. Mostly peeing on things (not as accidents but marking as a coping mechanism to mix our scents and feel comforted). She is not our first rescue but having gotten her from DAS we did not have any idea she had so much trauma. She needs 1) an experienced adopter 2) who is mostly home and 3) has a quiet environment. No 13 year olds playing soccer through the house or little girls dancing around with neighbor kids in and out too. I adore her but cannot keep revolving our life around her. I am her safe person but unfortunately do not have the time to help her to heal. I posted her a lot of places recently but didn't get any bites and her time with us has just run out. We can give her a couple more days and then will take her the best shelter we can find with availability.
