Asher Is Thriving in His Wisconsin Foster Home and Looking for His Forever Family! Asher has officially made it to Wisconsin and is settling into foster life beautifully. After being rescued from a high-intake kill shelter in Georgia, this sweet boy is finally getting the love, stability, and care he deserves while waiting for the family who will be his forever. Asher has been doing amazing in his foster home and continues to show everyone what a special dog he is. He is a happy, affectionate guy who loves being around people and is always ready to be part of whatever youre doing. Meet Asher: Asher is such a good boy. He loves to cuddle and is happiest when he can be right there with you. He follows me around the house like my little shadow, always wanting to know what Im doing. He absolutely loves his toys and will happily play with them all. Outside, he loves to chase a ball and have some fun. He also loves going for walks and is a wonderful walking buddy. With his training collar on, he walks right beside you. He is very friendly with people and absolutely loves children. He gets along well with small dogs and female dogs, too. He loves having a canine friend to hang out with when the match is right. And this boy has some great manners! He has never had an accident in the house and knows his commands - sit, down and paw, and hes working on stay. Hes smart and eager to please, and you can see how proud he is when he gets it right. Car rides? YES, PLEASE. Storms? Couldnt care less. Hes just happy to be with his people. What I love most about Asher is how much he wants to be part of your life. Hes affectionate, playful, loyal and just genuinely fun to have around. Hes the kind of dog who wants to follow you from room to room, curl up next to you, play with his toys, go for a walk and then settle in for some serious cuddling. Hes come such a long way since arriving from Georgia, and I really believe his forever family is going to feel incredibly lucky to have him. Asher is a 2-year-old, 56-lb Shepherd/Terrier mix, and his foster mom knows him best. Hes not looking for a perfect family. Hes looking for his people - the ones who will appreciate his goofy, affectionate, playful personality and let him be the devoted shadow dog he was meant to be.
