About RUBY ROO

RUBY ROO is a beautiful 2-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who weighs 10.6 pounds. She came to us after being surrendered by her owner due to family circumstances that made it impossible to keep her. RUBY ROO's best match is a loving family with a fenced yard and not too much time spent alone. RUBY ROO is a quiet, easygoing little girl with a sweet, gentle personality. She loves everyone she meets and enjoys curling up beside you on the couch for a nap. She is eager to please, loves treats, and when she's especially happy, she'll stand up on her back legs and twirl. She also enjoys playing fetch with her toys as long as you'll throw them for her. RUBY ROO gets along wonderfully with other dogs, both big and small, but she would also be perfectly happy as an only dog as long as she doesn't spend long hours alone. Her experience with young children and cats is unknown. RUBY ROO is house trained and will also use a puppy pad if needed. She is still learning to walk on a leash, so a fenced yard would be ideal while she continues gaining confidence. She enjoys spending time outside exploring the yard. One of her favorite backyard activities is searching for lizards. She hasn't caught one yet, but she certainly enjoys trying! At night, RUBY ROO sleeps in her own dog bed but would happily snuggle up in the big bed with her new family if allowed. She is not a fan of rainy weather and refuses to go outside if it's even drizzling. Thunderstorms make her nervous, and during storms she'll be right by your side looking for comfort. RUBY ROO is spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt, you must first submit an adoption application for review. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola).
