About Bane

Bane is a handsome Great Dane who is approximately 6 years old (his exact age is unknown). We adopted him from a family who could no longer care for him, so unfortunately we don't know much about his life before coming to us. Bane is an affectionate, goofy, and loving giant who enjoys being close to his people. He loves attention, happily leans in for pets, and is content to curl up beside you for a nap. Like many Great Danes, he doesn't realize just how big he is and has a playful, energetic personality. It breaks our hearts to rehome him, but we've realized that our home isn't the right fit. Because of his size and limited impulse control, Bane has had incidents of rough playful contact and overexcitement around our young child, so we are committed to finding him a home where everyone can be safe and successful. We believe he would do best with experienced large-breed owners in an adult-only home, or a home with older teenagers who understand how to interact with large dogs.
